Super Mario Party Jamboree Gets New Update for September 2025

A new update is now available for Super Mario Party Jamboree, and players on both the original Switch and Switch 2 can expect to see some improvements and gameplay adjustments. Those enjoying the popular title on Nintendo’s newest console will see more changes, including graphical improvements, difficulty adjustments, and several helpful fixes for Super Mario Party Jamboree.

nitially released for the Nintendo Switch in October 2024, Super Mario Party Jamboree made its Switch 2 debut in July 2025, bringing with it new modes and minigames, full-body movement recognition via an external camera, and improved graphics. Unfortunately, the recently released port of the popular party game has faced backlash, with the enhanced version deemed not worth the extra $20 for the fresh features on offer. Most frustrating for many is the utilization of the Switch 2 Camera in the new minigames, given its hefty $55 price tag and poor quality. Still, those enjoying the title can look forward to some improvements, as a new patch is now live.

Following the recent August 2025 patch for Super Mario Party Jamboree, the September update is now live for both Switch and Switch 2 players. For those utilizing the Nintendo Switch 2, when selecting the game from the title screen, the video output will now be full HD at 1080p. Additionally, the difficulty for Carnival Coaster has been adjusted in certain places for Switch 2 users, and some other fixes and adjustments have been made to enhance the overall gameplay experience. The patch notes for original Switch players are rather vague, indicating that the game has simply seen some fixes and enhancements.
